Tramp and Tumbling
About Me
My name is Steven Harris, I am 15 years old and have lived in Chandler my whole life. My second home is Aspire Kids Sports Center where I workout 4 days a week for 2 1/2 hours a day on the Tramp and Tumbling Team. I am also a member of the USA Gymnastics Organization.  All together I've been in gymnastics for almost 10 years now, 5 years in boys gymnastics, 5 years of Tramp and Tumbling. I have competed for many years and have traveled out of state to California numerous times, Texas, and Virginia. In July 2012 I qualified for both the US Elite Championships and my first international competition in Calgary, Canada for the Olympic Development Program. Unfortunately I broke by leg during training two weeks before US Championships so was unable to attend both of these meets.  I healed quickly and was able to continue and am ready for 2012 competitions. When I first joined the Tramp and tumbling team, I was immediately placed at level 7. There are a total of 12  levels in Tramp and tumbling and through the years I have progressed very quickly. I am currently at level  11. Levels 1-10 are identified by their numbers only, but for level 11 it is known as Jr. Elite and level 12 is known as Sr. Elite Level. I have a great team and awesome coaches that can always help me out although I do like to learn most of my skills on my own. Basically my dream is to just continue what I love doing the most and to try my very best.
When I am not in the gym I am always active. I cannot sit in bed all day my body just won't allow me to sit still!  So in my spare time I like to go diving, BMX biking, skate boarding, and wrestling.

In 2011-2012 I made my High School Diving Team and at the end of both years made State Championships and finished
in 9th & 8th place.

In addition to training at Aspire Kids Sports Center, I also work there as a CIT (Coach in Training).
I have been doing this for the last 4 years and work during the summer at their summer camps and during the rest of the year doing PNO (Parent's Night Out) and birthday parties.

I am very lucky to have a great family and friends who have always been supportive and encouraging of my love for Tramp and Tumbling.
